An ICM long exposure photo of flowers in a studio

ICM (or intentional camera movement) is a technique where you deliberately move your camera during a long exposure to blur your subject into painterly abstract images. While you can shoot just about anything with ICM, in this video we’ll be experimenting with everyone’s first favourite subject - plants and flowers.

We’ll start outdoors in the garden and then head indoors to see what we can create!
